Aaron and Danny met on a dating app in September 2020. They went on their first date at Starbucks on September 4 and fell in love at first sight. They became “Facebook official” on September 16.
Danny popped the question at Friendsmas on December 5, 2021, and Aaron said, “Yes!”
The wedding has always been planned for April 28, 2023, but when the draft opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs case was leaked in May 2022, Aaron and Danny decided to get legally married at the St. Louis County Courthouse on June 8, 2022. Aaron and Danny were afraid that if Roe was overturned then other privacy rights cases like Obergefell, Lawrence, and Loving could be overturned as well. These cases legalized same-sex marriage, same-sex relationships, and interracial relationships.
Aaron and Danny had their wedding reception at The Edge of Webster on April 28, 2023, with photography by Zachary Steele Photography and music by Dave’s DJ & Karaoke.
